Rintaro completed his surgical training at Jichi Medical University in Japan. While he attended in the Digestive Surgical Department, he became interested in pancreatic cancer. Currently, he is a clinical fellow at the laboratory of David Tuveson, studying pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) with a focus on liquid biopsies. His main goal is develop cell-free DNA-based assays as novel early detection strategies for PDAC.
