After graduating from University of California Santa Barbara, Oliver moved to Boston University to complete medical school. Whilst there, his research interests centered around amyloid deposition in the brains of professional athletes and its correlation to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). From there, he continued his medical training in general surgery at Northwell Health in Long island, where he has completed his first two years of training. During his research year, he has joined the Tuveson lab to work on identifying clinical and molecular tumor markers for pancreatic cancer and developing a novel chemotherapy microdevice for sensitivity testing in an effort to personalize care.
