Hsiu-Chi (Shawn) graduated from National Taiwan University and completed his Ph.D. in Valerian Kagan’s Laboratory at University of Pittsburgh. During his graduate studies, he studied phospholipid peroxidation and cell death, especially ferroptosis, using both cell biology and mass spectrometry approaches. He joined David Tuveson’s Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2019 to study the tumor biology of pancreatic cancer. He is currently using CRISPR and human organoids to study tumor biology of pancreatic cancer.
